Yahoo Chat

Does anyone know of a program that runs in Linux (without having to emulate with Wine or any other program) that will run yahoo chat and let you into actual chat rooms, not just the buddy lists? Thanks.

Gaim allowed me access to my buddy list, but I can't get into the chat rooms with it.

You can try Gyach. That supports chat rooms, I guess. Gaim 0.70 infact supports chatting provided the you know the name of the chat rooms!. Press chat button in UI and Enter the name of the chat room. You can chat after that. It worked for me!

yahoo IM doesn't even include their own chat program, just friends list.

Just click on 'accounts', click 'add', choose the yahoo protocol and fill in your user info and sign on.

You can use ICQ, jabber, M$ messenger(blah), and a few others as well.

Why not go to Yahoo "Chat" website and chat?
I'm also chatting through the website.
