xterm question?


Howdy!
CAn someone tell me if I can disable "bold-fonting" in xterm, I mean to make xterm fonts looks the same like in gnome-terminal :}

Try: setterm -bold off

man setterm for more options about terminal settings.

it is a pitty but still all folders and other "not simple files" are marked bold Maybe someone knows if xterm allows you to name colors not:
green, black, but in HEX for e.g.
And for e.g I choose "-fb" option to specify the font to display bold and nothings changes ...

maybe this has to do with an "ls" option.... if I understand you correctly. Check your ~/.bashrc and maybe systemwide configs for changing your ls options.

im runnin slack9 and blackbox. i edited /etc/DIR_COLORS and that did the job.
