Xterm Keyboard Issues

Hi,

I am having an odd problem which I think I need a clue to help me start looking where to solve it. I have an application on a server which I connect to using an Xterm terminal, I have installed Cygwin on a windows laptop so it can be used in a similar way.

My issue is the application uses the 'F' keys to perform most things and when connecting to the application remotely using an Xterm the 'F' keys dont work, instead of doing what they should (save, move fields etc) the output onto the screen for F9 is ~0

When using the same laptop on the local network the 'F' keys work fine.

The application runs on a server and the client is launched through an Xterm using SSH.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks,

Here's a good xterm FAQ with a direct link to the F-Keys config
Add the info to your .Xdefaults for persistence
