just add "xscreensaver" to your .xsession file, if you're using that method, or add it to .xinitrc etc...

What is the switch to "xscreensaver" that disables the about screen that comes up? I can't find it in the man pages.

Okay maybe I didn't explain that one enough. If you simply add:

xscreensaver&

to your .xinitrc file, every time you startup your desktop the Xscreensaver box will pop up giving you the option to either Configure or Help. I don't want the box to pop up at all because its annoying.

Blessed is the man who can read, for he
shall be called a Guru ;)

Code:
man xscreensaver
/splash
apparently there's two ways:
1.) command-line-parameter -no-splash
2.) .xscreensaver (that's what I use, btw ;})
splash=false

Cheers,
Tink
