Xscreensaver-Mandrake 9.1

configure: error: Your system doesn't have "bc", which has been a standard part of Unix since the 1970s. Come back when your vendor has grown a clue.

Can anyone tell me how to fix? I get this when i try to ./configure

If you post the few lines before, the error would make more sense.

Do you have the developmental packages installed? Command this to see:

gcc -v

You may have better luck upgrading/installing it using the mandrake packages.

What happens if you command in root

urpmi xscreensaver

# Mandrake links
Mandrake home page
Mandrake Users website
Easy urpmi config for Mandrake
urpmi mini-HOWTO
Easy software management: Red Carpet
Maximum RPM
rpmfind
You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc
Midnight Commander home page
