xsane won't save as pdf in multipage mode.
I have an Epson DS-510 batch scanner, always worked well with the Epson provided Linux software.
Using imagescan I could batch scan A4 pages to a pdf. Since I updated to Ubuntu 22.04, imagescan won't work. The window opens, but is not complete, no scanning possible. I have the newest version, from 02.02: epsonscan2-bundle-6.7.42.0.x86_64 I resorted to xsane. Xsane works fine, scans the pages fine to .pnm files. But when I click "save multipage project", which is set to PDF, I do not get a PDF. All I see is the 3 pnm files I had there after scanning. I wonder if anyone else had this problem and maybe has a fix for it?? I'll make a workaround using Python to merge the .pnm files to pdf, but it would be nice if it just worked! Thanks in advance for any tips or advice! |
Sorry, I made a mistake: Xsane does save as pdf, it just saved the document directly in my home folder, not the project folder!
Now I know how to do this! |
