XP Dual Boot Issue
I'm not sure what the problem is. I have XP installed on Hard Drive 1. I have a second empty hard drive that I installed Red Hat 9 on. I was planning on using GRUB to dual-boot my computer. But when installing Linux, Red Hat did not recognize my hda or XP.
I took a look at my /var/log/dmesg and noticed the following error repeated: hda: read_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } hda: read_intr: error=0x10 { SectorIdNotFound }, LBAsect=78156105, sector=78156042 etc. So where did I screw up and is there a way I can save myself?! |
Sorta sound like a bad sector or something...do a google.com/linux search for that error message!

Hmm....I was running XP just fine before the RH install.
