My computer has been up for about 10 days and its only using about 6M of swap so I'm happy. As far as I can tell, the biggest difference was switching to 32bit Firefox and not using npwrapper for flash.

Code:

Unhappy Memory leak OpenSuse 11.4 64bit

Hello to all.
Got memory leak on OpenSuse 11.4 64 bit version.
Here is an output for 5 days of usage:

Plasma desktop: 29788K / 81688K / 88208K / 89252K /93828K
Kwin: 31188K / 36984K / 37708K /50812K / 58028K
XOrg: 29436K / 75625K / 241952K / 313420K / 371412K

I'm using NVidia drivers provided via Yast repositories.

Anyone has hint or solution? When I logout or restart system memory usage drops, but after 3 - 4 days it gets too slow to work with, even with 8GB RAM on 6 core CPU.

Thank you for any hint or answer!

You may want to start a new thread. This one is old and seems to describe a different issue.

Are the processes you listed the top memory consumers?
