Xorg going nuts on Fedora 12 when the mouse scrolls
Hi,
Recently upgraded from Fedora 9 to Fedora 12 (x86_64 version) and Xorg appears to have gone berserk.
The symptom I've noticed in particular is that scrolling with the mouse's wheel makes Xorg eat the cpu for a good 5 seconds or more. If I leave "top" running so I can watch the processes, and then I access a web page with a scroll bar on the margin, if I attempt to scroll down the page by using the mouse's wheel, the cpu jumps to 100% utilization, with Xorg getting 80% or more of it, and it hangs there for a good 5-10 seconds.
It did not do this under Fedora 9, and I'm wondering what the heck I can do about it. It's pretty irritating, although not life-threatening. I suppose I could get a mouse with no wheel and not use that function, but... ergh.
Thanks in advance for all helpful suggestions.
