xorg.conf > how to edit ?


uhm, i installed the ati rpm drivers from the official site
i patched the build_mod

everything works fine, but in the last step yout have to edit the xorg.conf file

now, i'm wondering, how do i do that ?

Open it with an editor (such as vi) and it's the same thing as XF86Config

ah k, so what do i have to edit, i have the file opened right here in front of me

so i installed the ati drivers for my ati radeon 9600 pro, patched it to be able to build the kernel module
built the kernel module
now i have to edit the xorg.conf file

but what do i have to edit ?
parameters, but what parameters ?

the best thing you can do is run fglrxinfo (will generate a XF86Config file), and then, open that file and copy all the video card related info to xorg.conf.
