xmonad launching applications

Hey all,

I just installed xmonad, looks awesome! No panels! I love it. But a problem, at least for now, I (think I) need something like gnome menu. I have dwm, but to use that, you have to know the name of the application, and, often I do not know the name. ex what is the name of the wireless manager? the app for setting screen resolution? etc.

Any suggestions on what I can do? I'm running Ubuntu 11.10

Thanks!

edit: I've switched to Awesome WM, so, I am no longer personally interested in this.
