xmms problems

Hello guy's

I just installed xmms on my lfs system. The installation it self went fine. But the thing is, I can't play any mp3 with it. xmms comes up, I can select a file to play, but it won't play. It cinda finishes immediatly.
It's not a sound issue because playing with mpeg123 workes as it should. Looking at what plugins are loaded in the xmms configuration section, I see non are. And I can't choose any plugin because I can't see any in there. That's strange since all plugings are there in the "/usr/lib/xmms/Plugins" directory.
What's going on? Any thoughts?

Some new linux distrobutions need you to install addition software. After downloading the file above do rpm -ivh <filename>

My advice is to check what output plugin you're using (in preferences) and make sure you have the library installed to support it.

The BLFS book has a section on installing audio libraries. You may be missing one that is required.

I seem to recall that when I made my LFS system I had to install libvorbis and libogg for any app to use ogg files. This may be a similar issue here.
