XMMS/Noatun won't play music
I'm running RH 8.0 on a Dell Precision laptop with an "810CA/CAM AC'97 Aduio".
If I go to System tools -> soundcard detection, I see that RH has detected the card, and the "Play Sound" will do just that :) However, if I try to play MP3's in either XMMS or Noatun, whenever I click the "Play" button the program opens the "File open" dialog (as if I hadn't already chosen an MP3 to play). Anyone know why this happens? |

wtf .. that is one lame idea.
it's xmms.org btw .. xmms.com is taken by some spammer. |
Thanks, that worked after a reboot :)
I would've moved to Ogg Vorbis if it hadn't been for the fact that I've just ordered a Creative Zen player .. hmm, wonder when that will get ogg support .. - bjorn |
Sorry dude...about the link, I'm sleepin here. You don't need to reboot after installing software. Does noatun have a similar patch? Don't use it myself.
Oggs kick ass. Same sound 25% less size. |
