Question XMMS looses soundcard???

Hi,

Not sure if this is a software or hardware question.

I've "upgraded" my Redhat installation on an old Dell (200Mhz P MMX w 64Mb RAM, and creative Vibra ISA soundcard) from 7.1 to 8.0. I use XMMS to play MP3 files stored on a network drive. With RH 7.1 I had no problems. With RH 8.0, XMMS will play the first track on a playlist OK, and then throw up an error, saying that it can't output to the soundcard.

Any ideas?

QK.

Thanks,

I'd installed a plug-in for MP3 support.

Can't find Audio.pdf on the link you suggested (it gives me a 404)
I've tried selecting a different Output plugin & so far it appears to work.
