XMMS install problems on Mandrake

Hi,

I am new to linux and have Mandrake 10.0 - I am trying to install XMMS and I have run teh config (./configure) and that run ok. I then went to type make and it came up with this

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

what does this mean? Can someone help me install XMMS please,

Thanks,

I think xmms is already installed. Type xmms in a terminal.
If not, search a pre-build rpm.
When you unpack a source pack, you always have a README or install file full of infos.

I tried reading the readme, it said I needed GTX and something else - so I downloaded them, ran ./configure and went to to make and it came up with the same error, on both of them.

Just tried typing XMMS - wasn't there

can't search at the moment, my search has decied to go on strike - every time I use it, it locks up.

I would too think that XMMS is already installed... where did you type xmms?

Open a terminal:
/usr/bin/xmms

If it is not installed use either "rpmdrake" or the "urpmi" resources...

From a root terminal:
rpmdrake
or
urpmi xmms
