xmms id tags......driving me nuts !

A friend sent me a few albums and the songs where just named track 1 tarck 2 etc etc,
So i renamed them to the correct artist and title, but when I use +dir in xmms to add the album, the correct title and artist pops up for a fraction of a second then reverts back to, track 1 track 2 etc ??

I have "viewed file info" in xmms and even when i add the correct artist and title to the id3 tag section and save it........guess what ?...............it still flamin well comes up as track 1 track 2 !!! grrrrrrr

Its driving me nuts

What am i doing wrong ?

I have other mp3's and other albums that are named with, artist and title correctly.

Just seems to be these two albums

please help

its because xmms uses id3v2 tags by default but is unable to edit them, i personally tell it to use id3v1 tags (in the prefrences widow> audio i/o plugins tab > mpeg plugin > configure> title tab > disable id3v2 tags)
