xmms doesnt work

I have just install xmms from yum (rpm) and tried to play mp3 files but xmms can not play them. So I decide to install from source but I dont know if I have ALSA output, esound, libmikmode, libvorbis, and Mesa as the require indicated to compile xmms from source. How can I check if I have those program? I went to ALSA website and saw a lot of program there such as ALSA driver , tools, utilities... Which one I need?

See if XMMS compiled them in go to XMMS --> Options --> Preferences --> Output Plugins, and select Alsa if it's in there.
