cmus LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2004 Posts: 6 Rep:	XMMS and Thunderbird Mail Sound Hi, I am using Mandrake 10.0 and GNOME. My sound card is working fine as I can play my music using XMMS and I can hear my new mail notification sound when I get new mail through Thunderbird. The problem is that if XMMS is running and I get new mail, there is no sound. Is there a way to free up the sound card to play sounds from both of these applications at the same time? Mahalo, Cmus
