Unhappy XMMS and Firefox randomly crashing under FC2

XMMS is randomly crashing on me and it's driving me nuts!

I'm running Fedora Core 2 and I'm completely up2date, including the kernel (2.6.8-1.521).
XMMS version 1.2.10
AMD Athlon 1400 MHz

It runs fine for a while then it just stops playing/responding. Sometimes it just exits right away, and other times I need to kill it manually. It's given me the following error:

Quote:
Segmentation fault

You've probably found a bug in XMMS, please visit
bugs.xmms.org and fill out a bug report.

Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0x20792)!
This by its self would lead me to believe it's a problem with XMMS, however Firefox is randomly quitting also. (Mozilla was doing the same as well).

I've just switched to using linux as my primary OS, and I'd hate to go back to windows just so I can listen to my music without fear of having a brain aneurysm from frustration!

Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

Thx,
Brian
