xmms


everytime i install xmms and get it running with the mp3 patch it goes really fast and doesn't play? anything?

You are probably not using the right audio driver. Check the preferences and try selecting a different audio output. The two most common are OSS and esound (esd).

cause your using the disk writer plugin change it from preferences and that plug in writes .wav (i thing or some oter thing) to your home folder delete them

curious how something can go really fast (as if it is playing something to notice if its playing fast) but then not play anything...

its the disk writer plugin plays fast for me to dont worry

According to the xmms website installing the "arts" package is a work-around.

Whoops, that's to fix a segfault error,...sorry.

Compiling from new source fixed it for me
