Xmms 1.2.10 Crash!!!!!!! Still

i know by reading from their website that they were supposed to fix this error for playing mp3, but still i have my entire system updated and as for xmms i have these packages:

it plays cd's fine, but if i try to play mp3 or wav files it freezes and i have to kill it, or if i click anywhere on it it closes, any one else had this prob? or does anyone know how to fix it?

Are you really using Redhat 9.0 as your profile says and Mandrake packages (mdk) for xmms? Because that should be the first source of your problem :)

im sorry, i should change that, i am using Mandrake 10 CE and i have updated everything:D
