Xine problem

I installed xine by compiling its source. The compilation and installation for the Engine and the UI went well. But now I am facing some problems. Xine sometimes freezes up. It doesnt respond at all. I have to manually kill the process. This happens once or twice and then when I start it up again it works fine.

What could be the problem? I tried running xine-check but it doesnt report anything.

Also, xine doesnt recognize my VCDs. Is there a plugin I should download?

Edit: I am running RH9 and KDE.

Re: Xine problem

I have the same thing happen to me when I run xine.. I dunno what it is. It seems like xine doesnt want to run nicely unless I've xkilled it a few times..
