xine menu bar missing

Here is a simple question:

when I launch a movie or open xine from menu, I don't get the menu bar(forgive if i am using the wrong terminiology) giving you the play, fast forward buttons etc.

I looked all over for it, but can't see anywhere to enable etc.

Could someone shed some light on this n00b!!

Any help is greatly appreicated,

did you try pressing 'g' ?

you can bring it up by right-clicking and selecting 'controls' (or something like that) also
