I sometimes want to view .wmv files on my Linux machine. Under Fedora Core 3 I was able to install and run xine-lib-1.0 and xine-ui-0.99.3 successfully. I have recently tried to install them under Core 4. Configure finishes correctly, but when I try to compile the xine-lib files, the compiler quits with the error:
"color.c: In function 'vscale_chroma_line':
color.c:498: error: invalid lvalue in increment
color.c:499: error: invalid lvalue in increment"
Any ideas about what's causing the error and what the solution is would be appreciated. Is there another program that's better for viewing .wmv files?
i have found mplayer to be the best for wmv files, it can use the windows dlls to read the files so it works better then most other players, you just have to download the dlls from their site, as for xine, i have no clue
