Question xine hangs unless run as root??

Hi all - I have a strange problem, that *seems* to have popped out of nowhere...

Xine will hang at startup indefinitely unless I run it as root. I don't see anything in dmesg when I run it. This is an FC4 system. Very annoying, since I use xine as my dvd player for MythTV, and I run myth in normal user mode. Any suggestions?

Thanks!
Greg

Try running xine via "strace" - When XMMS was doing this same thing, strace was what found me the file that was causing the problem.

It turned out to be a file in /tmp that needed deleting in that case, incidentally. . .
