Xine frontend problem

K, I am pretty new to linux, was going to post this in the newbie section but it is more Software specific.

I installed the Xine Lib, everything fine, no errors.

Then wanted to instal a Frontend, had tried 3 and all of them error about not being able to find the Lib. Well waht I tried to do is change the Enviroment Variable in the Profile, howerver would not get that to work, I tried some other stuff alos, not sure how messed up I made it here, but I think I should be able to correct it, Was wondering if anyone could post their Enviroment Variable section where it declairs the XineLib Location. Or if there is another work around.

Thanks a bunch.

got it to work, Asked a little to early. What was happening that is that I setting the Variable for my USR account, then when I ran the ./configure for the frontend, I did a SU and made me root, so I had to reset the variable then, Got it to work now, I wanted to be able to watch some Videos i have on my HD.

Thanks

btw, this is how I got it to work, wanted to make sure I posted it just in case anyone else needed it

after doing my SU to login as root in my terminal, i did the fallowing line to set the variable to point the the Lib location

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

then I did the ./configure to install the frontend part. Seems to be working now, I am currently still in the make process.
