Unhappy ximian desktop problem

I have installed the Ximian desktop 2 on a system running Suse 9.0.

Everything seems great, but i have a problem with one of my programs, which will not start now.
I had Kylix3 installed from borland, before i put in ximian it worked fine. now if i try to start it this happens:

neil@phoenix:~> ./startkylix

Note: Please start the Delphi portion of Kylix with the startdelphi command.
Generating font matrix. Please wait...
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operati on)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Value in failed request: 0x1e0013d
Serial number of failed request: 978
Current serial number in output stream: 979

I think the problem has something to do with fonts. i want to keep ximian but i want kylix to work as well.

does anyone know how i might be able to fix this problem??

thanks in advance

problem solved

i had to remove ximian desktop.it made my system unusable for what i needed to use it for.

now i have got to re-install gnome etc. i will be lucky if i get away with not having to do a re-install from scratch

Thumbs up Ximian Desktop is brilliant!!

Since my last post, i decided to re-install Ximian Desktop. Kylix 3 does not work with the new fonts, but apart from that my system looks slick & seems to work well.

I recommend the Ximian Desktop (which is free to download) to all Linux users with compatable systems...
