Ximian Desktop 2 won't install in Suse 9.0

Can someone help me? I'm trying to install Ximian Desktop 2 in Suse 9.0. I've formatted and reinstalled Suse twice now and it won't work. The Ximian installer comes up no problem. I've tried selecting different mirrors. Each downloads the required files and verifies them all. However, when it installs it always freezes on gnome-pilot or red-carpet or some other file. I try not to install those but it freezes on another or sometimes passes by those no problem. I have to xkill the installer to close it. Does anyone know how to remedy this? Or is there some way to dowload the ximian files to my HD at least so every time I have to restart the installer it dosen't download another 250mb of files and use up my DSL bandwidth? It's annoying when the installer gets to 80% complete after downloading so much then freezes and requires me to do it all over again. Anyone else experiencing this problem or know of another way to install Ximian? Thanks a lot.

OK, now that you've posted your question this way, I see that you didn't manage to get Ximian installed at all. Sorry for my previous post to your other forum topic.
I did a bit of research before installing Ximian and one of the biggest complaints was the installer bogging down or quitting altogether. It sounds like that is what is happening to you.
I didn't have any trouble with it. Sailed on through the whole thing over my DSL connection.

Hey, this one was posted awhile before the RPM question :) I found my problem was that I had to tell it to install from a mirror instead of simply using the default Ximian site. Also, about the packages it would freeze on, I had to just keep writing them down then tell it not to install those. But it's still acting weird so i've since formatted and given up on Suse :P
