XFree86 Setup

I am setting up Gentoo linux (hopefully successfully) and I need to know my monitor's (Dell UltraSharp 2000 FP 20") vertical and horizontal refresh rates. Also my video card's (NVidia GForce 4) amount of RAM in KB. Could anyone help me find or tell me where to look for this information. Also if you have installed Gentoo before, did you like it? Just curious.
