I've got a thinkpad 760ed and have had problems with getting my xserver working at more than 460x480 4-bit color. I've been reading and apparently Xfree86 4.x doesn't work with it right but 3.x does, but I can't seem to find older versions. Does anyone know where I can get version 3.x for dsl?
no distros include xfree86 anymore, they all went to xorg, i have a zenwalk-core install with xfree86-4.7 built from source running great, xfree86 is still being developed so i would be willing to bet you can get a xfree86-3.x version here and build it, be sure to read all the documentation...
