xfce4 bar is missing
Today I reinstalled Ubuntu 5.10, server. And installed XFCE4, it all worked well for about an hour or so an then, suddenly, my xfce4 bar disappeared!
I tried enlarging an repositioning it in the menu, didn't work.. I tried to remove and reinstall whole xfce4, didn't work either.. Since I haven't got a clue where this came from I hope some one knows. Overall I experience XFCE4 as a bit buggy, maybe i'll switch to another desktop, but I don't know which one. Well please help me find my bar. :) Thanks! |
try typing xfce4-panel into a terminal (I think that's it, though I don't have access to xfce right now). When I was using xubuntu regularly I remember this seemed to happen a bit. The new version of xfce is in dapper, it seems to be a pretty good improvement, though I haven't been using it long enough to say much about stability.
