XF86Config video ram values


i just noticed that in my XF86Config file that the video ram values are commented out on default. should i uncomment them?

Is x working?
If so. Why would you change the file, and why would you worry about it enough to post something?

Maybe he has an older pc & wants better performance.
Maybe he's learning & just wants to know.
Maybe I was curious about this too, & wouldn't mind seeing an answer to his question.

Mine was commented out, I uncommented it and changed it to the correct value (16384 for me) and now I get a little extra performance (a few extra FPS) but nothing to shout about.

i have 64mb voodoo5, but redhat sees it as only 16235 or something similar, can put 64000 or does it have to be exact?

i uncommented it out and i got about 200 more fps than with it commented. so it helps. yay
