Question XF86_Config


Hi Every1 i have a queation. i an running SuSE 8.0 and my VooDoo3 3000 TV Dosn't work with it i have a feeling that the XF86_Config either did not install or is corrupt so i was wondering if any one who has a VooDoo3 3000 TV could please send me thier XF86_Config File it would be much apreciated

P.S. i cant spell very well either

It should use the XF86_SVGA driver or server. What distro are you using ? Have you tried reconfiguring it ? I know voodoo3 cards shouldn't have any problems if your using XFree86 version 3.3.6 and above...

And it shouldn't be in a XF86_Config file.. its usually just XF86Config or XF86Config-4 in your /etc/X11 directory.

I am running SuSE 8.0, there in nothing to reconfigure

did u try SaX2? it's Suse's setup tool for that. it's not completely reliable but it's good to know whether or not SaX recognizes the hardware. sometimes u have to reedit the /etc/X11/XF86Config manually after that. so if not yet done - try it.
