Xen on Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800

Hi,

I am planning to purchase new hardware, and would like to use Xen to host various virtual machines, including Windows.

I have heard that Xen 3.0 supports unmodified Windows versions only on Intel VT processors like the new Core 2 Extreme X6800. As this processor is very expensive, I would like to check before if anybody has experiences with using Xen 3.0 on X6800 and unmodified guest operating systems.

The only thing I found on the internet is a short hint in the Xen FAQ which simply states that Intel VT support is included in Xen 3.0.

Has anybody already used Xen 3.0 on Intel X8600? Any experiences with Windows as the guest operating system?

Thanks,
Roland
