xcdroast

Hi

I'm trying to install xcdroast on openSUSE 11 and face some problems.
First I had a problem with pixbuf during installation. I solved it by adding gtk-pixbuf and gtk-pixbuf-devel.
Now, when I try to start xcdroast it says:

Code:
linux-39sr:/home/rafal/Desktop # xcdroast
Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load module "libgnomebreakpad.so": libgnomebreakpad.so: nie można otworzyć pliku obiektu dzielonego: Nie ma takiego pliku ani katalogu

** WARNING **: No /usr/local/bin/cdrecord installed

** WARNING **: (Invalid lib-directory? Check -l option)
I found one hint here:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=49750
and added "/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules" to my /etc/ld.so.conf file , because libgnomebreakpad.so is located there.
The file /etc/ld.so.conf lokks like this:

Code:
/usr/X11R6/lib/Xaw3d
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib/Xaw3d
/usr/i386-suse-linux/lib
/usr/local/lib
/opt/kde3/lib
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules
include /etc/ld.so.conf.d/*.conf
I restarted my PC.

Unfortunatelly it does not seem to be the right solution. I still can't start xcdroast.

Any ideas?

regards
Rafal

Well now.

It seems that xcdroast has come back to life. I used to use it, but it looked like abandonware, and after a distro upgrade it no longer worked for me because the distro stopped using cdrecord and started using wodim, which xcdroast didn't like.

I suggest you look to see if wodim is on your system. If it is, probably cdrecord isn't and that could be your problem.

I see there is the first new version of xcdroast in 5 years that has been posted just today. Is that the one you are trying to run?

I'm tryning this version : xcdroast-0.98alpha16

Regarding 'cdrwtools'. I don't see them installed in YaST. I even don't see them available on the repositories I added (like Packman).
I don't see here connection with the problem that xcdroast does not see libgnomebreakpad.so, although it is installed.

wodim

I have checked in Yast again and see I have installed cdrkit-cdrtools-compat package. The description below:

"cdrkit-cdrtools-compat
This package contains these compatibility symlinks: cdrecord -> wodim mkisofs -> genisoimage cdda2wav -> icedax Install this package if you can't use the cdrkit programs directly."
