xcdroast


whenever i burn a cd(it works perfectly), but when i try and burn another cd it cannot initialize my cd burner(external hpcdwriter8200), i then have to restart the computer to get it to work. how do i fix this?

noramlly i just mount a normal cdrom and then umount it, reset it fine. it'd recomemnd a decent burning gui though, like eroaster or similar

ahh just this minute testing a new 48 speed justlink burner. niiiiiice

Also from the departement for Linuxdummies (like myself):You can try k3b if you got kde3 installed.
That thing has a setup wizard that almost gets the devlinks and permissions setup right (works for ide-reading and scsi emu burning,too).
Only trouble is that it writes new entries in fstab that might not work ok.
