x3270/s3270 Scripting [IBM Mainframes]

Has someone tried to develop a script based on the x3270?

I'm reading the man, but I can't figure how to work it out. I need some sample script to start.

Ok, I'm starting to understand how it works. I can perform some basic commands, like Connect, MoveCursor, String and Ascii. Maybe I'm in the right way...

I need a script to connect on one of my LPARs and prove to my manager (doh) that the environment is on-line and working. I know that there are many other elegant ways to do that, but she asked specifically for this.

When I get something more usable, I'll show to you guys.

Yes...and this thread has been closed for four years now. Read the man page on x3270, since there are already options to capture screens to a file, or print them directly.
