Question X-Windows Too Big when it opens. Font Size?

I have Redhat Linux 6.0 on my laptop and all looks fine till I enter Startx to get X-Windows or GNome, when it opens the size is so big I can only see a few icons or menu items they are so big. Would this have been a screen config during install for I was usure what to put for a laptop screen? Or is there something I can do within X-windows to correct this?

You need updated drivers, same thing occurred with my laptop, I had to upgrade to RH 7.0 for a newer version of Xfree86 and updated video drivers.
