X VNC module monitor locking

I am using Fedora Core 1 and the X server module vnc is enabled. I am running server on my workplace (In campus LAN) but when I do vnc from residence, it is visible to the workspace also, which is not visibly protected. It also gives one chance to temper with the machine in my absence as it cannot be locked seperately. Is there a way of locking the monitor when I am working from resedence?

Thanks in Advance
