X ServerLayout - two 'virtual' desktops

Greetings.

If in an X config file, I have two server layout sections, and a machine with two video cards, two mice, and two keyboards, how would I go about making it so I could have each display show a seperate X session, preferably each session with a different logged in user. Would running startx load only one up automagically? I've heard it can be done, but searching the internet all i find are other people asking similar questions with no answers. I don't yet have all the hardware yet so I cannot just throw it together and try it.

Thanks
