X Prevents Virtual Console Switching

Hey all,

My X.Org server doesn't allow me to press ctrl+alt+F1-6 to switch to a virtual console. When X is not running, I can switch between the virtual consoles. I am thinking there is a line in a config file somewhere in my Gentoo installation that needs changing. Any ideas?

From my /etc/X11/xorg.conf :

Comment this and you will be fine

Success! I can now switch to other virtual terminals thanks to ripping the Ubuntu LiveCD's auto generated X.Org configuration file. Looking back my old configuration file was for XFree86, not X.Org as I was actually using. Also the keyboard layout and number of keys for the keyboard were set slightly different. My guess is that all of this put together prevented the ctrl or f(1-n) keys from being mapped for use. Thanks for the suggestion Half_Elf.
