X libraries

How do I go about installing the X11 libraries? I have no idea what I should put in yum. I tried X11 X11-lib, X11-devel etc... Anyone happen to know off hand what it is I have to type?

Turns out I also need the kernel sources now... (trying to install GSX server), so how do I go about getting the kernel source installed? I have no idea where to even start.

Thanks.

using yum is the best thing to do..

the package should be called something like you have already mentioned, x-devel or x11-devel.. same with the kernel sources.. its usually some variation of development, headers, or source.

look at every package that starts with x and you should find it.. and if not then try adding more repositories to YUM, if theres one that would include the missing packages you need to install.

good luck!

try finding XFree86-lib or XFree86-devel. I think those are the packages.
