X-Chat keeps disconnecting me

Okay so here's my problem. I love IRC and I use it to download anime (sometimes I use BitTorrent, but I have such awful upstream it makes more since to make use of many sub-group's XDCC Bots) anyways, most of the chans I connect to for anime are through the server MIRC-X. Now lately I have been getting disconnected at startup multiple times (sometimes forever) before I get a steady connection. The only clue to whats wrong is the error message.

--- Disconnected (Remote host closed socket).

Which I don't fully understand. What does this mean? Anyone having similar problems?

That error to me would indicate the remote server is closing the connection, possibly a problem the server is having or the way your being routed to it. Is it the same IRC server each time or does it do this on all of them that you try?

Honestly not too sure but I believe that it connects to the same server everytime.

Xchat problem

hi. i got the same problem... xchat still disconnect me but i found why

xchat ask the channel to get the hostname of every user. the server is not able to send u the hostname because it have more than 1100 users
with less than 1100 user, u won't have problem using xchat. that's all for now. im still searching something to connect...
