Question wu-ftpd-2.6.2-5

Hello. I just installed ftp server wu-ftpd-2.6.2-5. My xinted is running. Ftp is on. I went to the /etc/inetd.d/wu-ftpd and changed disable = no". I also went to the host.allow and did :
ALL:ALL:ALL.
Now,
when tried to connect from linux box to itself it worked just fine ...exept it took like 20 seconds to bring the username and password screen.
when tried to connect from any other work station on my LAN I'm getting a follwing message:
CONNECTION CLOSED BY REMOTE HOST. Is there anything else I should check ? Pleas help me out.

THank you .

Jakub.

Do you have ipchains/iptables firewall running by any chance? Filtering what it's not supposed to filter?
