How do I write a crontab file so updatedb will run every day at midnight? Once a week?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Add this line to your /etc/crontab file.

23 0 * * 0 root updatedb

To run updatedb 23:00 once a week.

or this line...

23 0 * * * root updatedb

To run updatedb each day at 23:00.
