wpa2 with wpa_supplicant

I have used linux along time and this is the most annoying problem I have ever faced. I have an asus usb wireless stick that works with the rxt2000 driver, and I can connect to open and wep networks, but for the life of me I cannot get it to connect to my wpa2 wireless network.

I have downloaded and installed the patches that the rxt people provide to work with wpa_supplicant, but it still does not work.

Could someone please paste a working wpa_supplicant.conf for wpa2 - personal aes network ( or something similar )

Thanks.

here is mine

Code:
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ctrl_interface_group=myuser
ap_scan=1
update_config=1

network={
	ssid="mysid"
	psk="mykey"
	proto=RSN
	key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
	pairwise=TKIP
	group=TKIP WEP104 WEP40
}
i launch wpa_supplicant with that command

Code:
wpa_supplicant -Dwext -iwlan0 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf&

wpa_gui works like a charm
