would like to play aMSN web cam sessions (.cam extension) using external program

Hi

I would like to know if I cam play the web cam seesions logged in aMSN (i.e.: files with the .cam extension) in some external program such as xine if there's a plugin to handle it.

Playing it with aMSN is something I don't really like to do, as I have to log on each time and I have no control over where to skip to forward to. It also seems to be very resource hungry as well, because playing it usually slows things down quite a lot.

What I'm guessing is I'm not the first one to mention this, though I haven't been able to find anything along these lines yet while searching myself.

Thanks

Dene

Try loading the .cam sessions into Mplayer, or Xine, or any other video player. If they play, your all set. If not, your going to be stuck with aMSN

I did try that but it seems I'm stuck.

Anybody have an idea? Now? What about now? Nothing? Not even a flutter of wings? .... oh look, there goes some tumble weed

Well I'm surprised considering all this combined experience there is here ... almost had a troll moment then but fair enough, I'll look for another option

Combined experience doesnt add up to there being ways to do odd things. If a program like aMSN decides to use it's own special video format, there's no helping that other programs don't play it.

Yeah I understand that, then again I normally learn that when asking a question on here I'm not usually the first person to ask it.

The help is much appreciated :)
