The workspace switcher on my gnome-panel disappears. Logging in as a different user this problem does not happen. The only thing I can find is the file .xsession-errors on my home dir. Its contentis :

The "PWD..." outputs I recognize as from my cd command. Thanks in advance.
TYry this: right-click on the panel --> add to this panel , and from the emerging menu choose workspace switcher (it probably isn't called that, but it's there alright)
