Question Working with ISOs, boot sectors and such

I have a live CD (in this case the LFS LiveCD 6.1.1) .iso that I would like to customize. The method suggested in the README is to write multiple sessions using cdrecord to a CD.

However, I'm working out of a virtual machine, so I actually want to extract the ISO contents, including the boot sector image, to a place where I can work with it, then turn around and remake the iso. How would I go about this?

Note that I can access the ISO either by using the virtual machine's cdrom or by accessing the .iso itself off the file system.

Thanks!

Adam

click "thread tools" and you will find the subscribe feature. You could also ask how to subscribe to a thread in an appropriate forum.
