Working with init 3

Hi All!

I have just recently been introduced to the pleasures of working with no window environment (init 3) or a minimal window environment - twm for example..

My question: when I go to init 3 and login, I can issue the following command to change default desktop:
switchdesk twm
But then how do I launch twm?

Second question, while I am in init 3, I get loads of messages on screen that I am told are from ip logging - how do I turn them off?

Thanks for any advice!

Rob

I don't use it but I did open it by accident once. Had a fun time figuring out how to get a menu to get out of it. Open a terminal and type man twm. Lots of info.
